Information Security
MassHousing recognizes the importance of the personal information we maintain and the trust our customers, business partners, vendors and employees place in us to keep that information safe.
MassHousing is committed to ensuring the security and confidentiality of sensitive personal information we have in our possession, including information that comes to us from our customers, business partners, vendors or employees.
Federal and state laws require that MassHousing develop a written Information Security Program that describes our plan to protect such information.
Information Covered by This Program
This program relates to information pertaining to individuals that MassHousing has in its possession ("Protected Information"), and falls into four main categories:
- "Nonpublic personal information" ("NPI") subject to protection under Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
- "Personal Information" as defined in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 93H;
- "Consumer reports" subject to protection under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act; and
- Other information pertaining to individuals subject to data security, data security breach notification and identity theft prevention laws in Massachusetts and various other states where applicable
